Atomic Habits by James Clear

James Clear’s Atomic Habits is an excellent read. It is very similar to another book, which I love, called The Power of Habit. My main takeaway: if you focus on becoming 1% better every single day, the summative effect of such daily changes will be tremendous.

Here are my favorite parts:

  1. Focus on making small changes every single day. Become 1% better.

  2. Optimize your habits to put yourself onto a path of success.

  3. 1% improvement might not be immediately noticeable.

  4. Focus on your system.

  5. “Every action you take is a vote for the type of person you wish to become.”

  6. “All big things come from small beginnings.”

  7. “The purpose of building a system is to continue playing the game.”

I recommend this book as much as I recommend The Power of Habit. This is a pretty quick read. You will not regret it.
